Wow what an amazing journey this has been! We have arrived at this place where things start to come true and it is my hope that it will rub off. As a quick introduction, let me tell what you'll find here. ehorseeducation was started out of a need to find credible and affordable resources for continuing education hours and experiences in the field of Equine Assisted Activities. Like most not for profits, our budget was always strained and we found it difficult to get all of our continuing education hours in each year without spending a lot of our own money and felling like we never really got what we wanted. We truly believe that we are all here for the same reasons and that the flow of information should be free and open. Not prepackaged and sold. Cookie cutter activities and programs don't always work when your dealing with horses, people with disabilities and volunteers. There are so many factors that things rarely work the way we had originally intended. We would rather help people find the resources and provide support that create original and custom solutions to common problems. It is more impactfull if the people providing the services have ownership over activities and programs have a hand in creating them. We come from a place of empowerment rather and regurgitation.
Through the use of teleconference technology, multiple people can listen in on a session and only pay for the connection of one phone line. That makes it easier to get your entire staff in on a session or workshop that is relevant to your needs and for the fraction of the cost of traveling. By offering small one hour sessions, we can hone in on one specific issue at a time. And by supporting people with resources and tools rather than something prepackaged, we are able to help centers and instructors create solutions that fit their needs.
It is our intention to use this space for discussion, ideas and inspiration. Here you can find lesson ideas, fundraising ideas, opinions from those who have been here done that and insight from processionals who share the same passion.
We believe that the more you put into something, the more you get out of it. Feel free to ask questions and offer opinions and we will do our best to respond to them. The people that lead our sessions are those who have experience and are trusted leaders in our field. If they can't answer a question, you better believe they know where to find an answer and will get it to you. From small beginnings come great things so hang on and grow with us!
